Reading Room

Reading Room is a gathering around fiction about art, artists, and creative life. Some stories place art at their center; others encounter it at the edges.

Every two months, the Reading Room community reads a selected work of fiction and gathers for a discussion of ways the book reflects on art, creativity, and culture.

Reading Room launches in January 2027 and meets bi-monthly from 7-9 pm at Sounding House. Join us for one session or the entire season. Suggested donation: $20 per session.

Participants are asked to source their own books; we encourage you to utilize your public library, locally owned bookstore, or Bookshop.com.
